Elin Taylor

Having performed regularly in orchestras from the age of ten, Elin brings over a decade of experience and passion to every performance she gives. She is a first-class music graduate, having received a Merit Scholarship to further her studies, Elin achieved Distinction in her Masters in Music at Cardiff University. Since graduating from University in 2018, Elin has worked as a busy freelance musician. She regularly performs in a variety of classical concerts and acoustic gigs with the North Wales Camerata, North Wales Philharmonia, Opera Cymru, Brynafon String Quartet and alongside Welsh singer-songwriter Arfon Wyn in acoustic duo, Y2. Elin works as a session musician, recording for Welsh artists of all genres and for TV programmes on S4C. In 2019, Elin built and lunched her own music studio 'Stiwdio Siencyn' , furthering her career in remote recording for composers and as a producer. With the resource of a music studio, Elin produces high quality, bespoke backing tracks to accompany solo cello. This enhances all of her performances in concerts, weddings and corporate events. She happily receives song requests on bookings, allowing her to offer an exciting and varied repertoire list for each performance. In addition to her busy performance schedule, Elin teaches at the Gwynedd a Môn Music service and the William Mathias Music School. Elin also delivers music workshops for adults with additional needs through projects Discover the Song, Bwthyn Sonig and Hidden Talents.
