Initially, my wife and I contacted a different company to organise the music for my wife to walk down the aisle to that wasn’t Elie and James. Unfortunately, they cancelled on us short notice. We were understandably upset and panicked by this, but persevered and posted on various forums in search of some string musicians. Elie picked up our shout for help immediately and told us that she loved the song and that they could easily sort it all out for us. Elie and her husband were absolutely amazing – they worked on arranging the song, arrived promptly on the day and played brilliantly. They quite literally saved our day and we couldn’t have been happier with their work. Thanks so much Elie and James!! Would most definitely recommend them!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients love my heartfelt honest songs and chatty interactive show. They also like having a sing and dance to some of the better known classics.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Sidmouth, towersery, broadstairs, belladrum, homegrown, folk east l are a few of the bigger festivals I have played.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

First aid kit, Brandi Carlisle, dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, Blondie, the cranberries

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably one of the festivals. Rock at the castle 2016 was to a couple of thousand people.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I’ll try to accommodate the change of schedule if at all possible. Very last minute change may be difficult but I will do my best.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

If I’m there anyway I’m happy to plug an iPhone playlist in. If you’d like me to stay longer/get there earlier we could discuss an extra cost.!

How much time do you need to set up?

It takes me less than 30 minutes to set up and pack down. I’m a very portable show and can set up easily with little intrusion into the event. I turn up 1 hour before, set up then wait for the agreed start time.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I’ll usually choose a set list based on your audience and my past experience of choosing songs to suit the audience. If you’d like to request certain songs from my list I can certainly work them into the set list. I’m also open to learning requests.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I can play acoustic or with my own pa.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Happy to learn anything provided I have enough notice.
