Eleanor Laughton

Eleanor graduated from the University of Bristol with First Class Honours in Music in 2019. Although bassoon was her principal study, she quickly became immersed in the choral world and has since built an extensive career as a singer and soloist. From 2016 to 2022, Eleanor sang at Clifton Cathedral as both a Choral Scholar and later a Choral Exhibitioner, also assisting with the Junior Choir. She appeared on the BBC One televised Midnight Mass in 2020 and has performed with numerous ensembles, including The Fitzhardinge Consort, Bath Camerata, Bristol University Singers and The Melgas Consort. Operatic roles have included Cock in Janáček's *The Cunning Little Vixen* and the Witch in *Macbeth*. As a soloist, Eleanor has performed works including Vaughan Williams' *Pastoral Symphony*, Fauré's *Requiem*, Pergolesi's *Stabat Mater*, Haydn's *Creation* and Vivaldi's *Gloria*. Eleanor is available to sing at weddings, funerals, memorial services and other special occasions. Her warm, pure tone and sensitive musicality are particularly suited to church settings, while her versatile repertoire encompasses sacred music, classical favourites, hymns and other requested pieces. She works closely with couples and families to help select meaningful music and is committed to providing a professional, reliable and personal service for every event. Eleanor is based in Frome but is available to travel to other locations in the South West.
