What do your clients love most about your performances?
Many people have told me that I am "the smiliest singer they've ever seen..." It’s hard to hide it when I genuinely love sharing music with others, and am privileged enough to play a part in someone’s special event!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
I recently recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios and Mark Knopfler's British Grove Studios. I have also performed for many weddings across Europe, and headlined Manchester venues such as Band on the Wall and Jimmy’s with past ensembles.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Growing up listening to Eva Cassidy and Ella Fitzgerald has probably had the biggest impact on how I approach singing and guitar. I also love artists like Paul Simon and Joni Mitchell, as well as more modern artists like Emily King, Lianne La Havas and Melody Gardot.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Singing at the Irish Embassy in Thailand for St Patrick’s Day last year, or at a private party for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, 2011.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, just let me know.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Absolutely. I can play music from my PA in between sets and also while I set up and pack down my equipment. If you'd like a DJ service via my PA after the final set until the venue closes, then we can discuss additional payment based on how long it would be needed.
How much time do you need to set up?
It takes roughly 30 mins for me to set up.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I am definitely happy to have a chat to make sure we find what works for your event.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes. I bring a high quality PA system,
microphone, and mic stand with me. All you need to provide is access to a power source.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
If a song isn't included in my song list, there may still be a chance that I already know it. If not, I am happy to learn it! There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account extra arrangement and rehearsal time.
