I am in the process of starting my own freelance business as a saxophone performer, tutor, composer & arranger accepting different kinds of music projects in Aberdeen City & the Shire. I currently work as a Music Centre Instructor in Fraserburgh and an Aberdeenshire Associate Musician for Drake Music Scotland. I play five different instruments of the saxophone family to a high standard, mainly alto & tenor for solo work, performance recitals & examinations. However, I play a wide range of saxophones from soprano to bass for several bands & ensembles of various musical genres. I have always been interested in the instruments of the saxophone family from a very young age, it was always a dream to own all saxophones and to be able to play all of them. I organised a saxophone ensemble in my 4th year to record a composition I had written for my final year portfolio. This meant I was responsible for organising rooms and getting names of people who were interested in taking part. I am always interested in helping others out with playing and getting them to feel inspired to take up the instrument. Another voluntary project was to help with Wind Band projects both at St Machar & Torry Academy to help promote music education in schools, this in co-operation with woodwind instruments, is something which I am incredibly passionate about.
