Edouard started his musical journey as a chorister with the Metropolitan Cathedral Choir and was inspired to play the violin at age 6 after hearing the Merseyside Youth Orchestra playing Holst’s ‘The Planets’. He entered Trinity College of Music as an undergraduate completing his studies seven years later with both graduate and post graduate diplomas in violin performance under the tutelage of Hu Kun. He was honoured by being given two scholarships to study chamber music with the Brodsky and Smith quartets and has toured Great Britain, Jersey and Northern France as the first violin of the Marcucci String Quartet and tutored and performed as chamber music coach at the Dartington International Summer School and the Bath Guitar Festival. He has played with professional and amateur orchestras including the YMSO, participating on a tour of Greece with Sir Yehudi Menuhin, British Youth Opera Orchestra, Concilium and Opera of the South on their tours of Great Britain. Edouard is the leader of the Amati orchestra in London, with which he has performed the Beethoven Violin concerto in March 2015 and has been engaged to play Bruch’s Violin Concerto No 1 in G minor. He is also currently a violin tutor and coach in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Hackney boroughs working for their music services, at Buckingham College Preparatory School as the Music Director and in a private capacity. Edouard continues his musical experience as a freelance orchestral and chamber musician in London and abroad.
