Biographies are curious things. Histories of who you are and what you stand for, or what you don't. You’re meant to sell yourself. Not too keen on that idea, and not too sure what that possibly could entail. So I gave it a browse. And that wasn’t helpful. Or perhaps it was too complicated? I’m not sure - I’m a Luddite at heart. Although I pretend I’m not. Anyway - I’m getting sidetracked. Selling myself - how do I do that? What do I want to achieve out of this thing? Well - firstly - to showcase some kind of time well spent and to inspire others to create and share too. Not to sound cheesy, obviously. I just want to share and have people enjoy it. And then share stuff too. And make music. And be generally noisy. And not take things too seriously all the time. That would be nice. And money helps, obviously. Tax and bills and that. What do I play? My own stuff - yeah, I've written a couple of tunes. Not too shabby. Apart from that, I'm playing covers of obscure songs so you can't tell the difference - ha! You won't know either. I play a lot of Beatles and Fratellis - God - The Fratellis. They're such an underrated band. Another part of a biography is history of the artist. Well - that’s quite a category. What’re we talking about, here? Heavily filtering an old Gretsch or jamming in a tiny restaurant on a distant Scottish island? I’ve done a lot of mad stuff on my varying career. Played a police station open day once. That was weird. Sirens in the background and stuff. Oh, and I’m sure there’s footage of me playing through the wind at the back of ferry out there somewhere. I know there’s photos of me busking and gigging and being a bit of a protester on the Buchanan Street Steps. Stay tuned - let’s see what other strange places I can go and what other eclectic songs I can play.
