Eddie Mol is a Black British singer and songwriter originally from DR Congo in Africa and based in London, England/UK
Back to DR Congo, he used to listen to different kinds of music from Congolese soukouss and rumba styles to foreign ones and he covered some of the songs with his friends of the district and of the boarding school just as fun with other mates playing acoustic guitar and using a chair as a drum. Later in Europe, he played in Congolese bands like Bana Mons, Zamusica, Formule 1 and Laser that he created and they played many shows and gigs in Belgium, France, Netherland, Germany, Sheffield and Rotherham. Then he decided to pursue a solo career with his first album ON THE OTHER SIDE which will be released before the end of 2018. He has already launched a single also titled ON THE OTHER SIDE with two tracks BLANC SUR NOIR and DON’T SAY FAREWELL.
People will expect to hear some world music that Eddie Mol personally calls melting-pot music because of the mixture of musicians and singers from different countries, different cultures. The songs are in Lingala, French, English and some other languages.
The sound of his music is a mixture of African, European, Asian and American sounds
His influences are African music, Latin music, French music, English and American music.
So far he and Formule 1 band released an album called CORDE AU COU and he has released his single ON THE OTHER SIDE to announce the venue of the album ON THE OTHER SIDE.
The most notable show played in his career is the one played in Merlin Theatre in Sheffield in 2003 with Laser band.
Right now Eddie is in the studio recording new songs for ON THE OTHER SIDE album.
