Their mission is to forge an unbreakable bond of connection, synergy, and meaning through their performances. At the forefront of the future of classical music, Eclective bridges the gap between the old and the new. With their revolutionary approach, they redefine the very essence of a string quartet. Known for their boundary-pushing experimentation, they effortlessly navigate between classical masterpieces by Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky, and the vibrant realms of contemporary pop, rock, and alternative genres. They partner closely with Fever Candlelight Concerts each week to bridge this very gap. Eclective Strings is fast becoming a force in the crossover classical music scene for their powerful performances, adventurous collaborations and dynamic programs. Eclective currently performs regularly in both London and Melbourne, simultaneously drawing together an extraordinary collective of local and international musicians. Eclective thrives on close collaborations with today's most innovative artists who share their ideology. Within the ensemble, many have toured and performed in the United Kingdom, Australia, Dubai, Amsterdam, Germany, Canada, America, South Korea and China. The musicians of Eclective have performed with many well-established artists such as Hans Zimmer, Lisa Gerrard, Tina Guo, Pedro Eustache, John Farnham, Nai Palm, Wafia, Gurrumul Yunupingu, PANIA, Lucy Durack, JOY, Dami Im, Tina Arena, Jessica Mauboy, Lior, The Whitlams and The Rubens. They have also had the honor of performing with Internationally recognised classical artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Ray Chen, Joshua Bell, William Barton and Andrea Bocelli. Additionally, they have worked with beloved film composers such as Ennio Morricone, Joe Hisaishi, and Nigel Westlake. The group is made of award-winning musicians that come from a wide range of backgrounds having performed with various orchestras including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria, Opera Australia, Australian Chamber Orchestra, and in musical productions including Hamilton, Cinderella and the Phantom of the Opera. Eclective houses graduates from the Royal Academy of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Australian National Academy of Music, as well as completing artist residencies at the Banff Centre of Arts and Creativity in Canada and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
