Dove Ensemble

Dove Ensemble consists of brother and sister duo Margaret and John, who have been performing music together ever since they first began to learn their instruments! As well as a String Duo, they are available as a String Trio which which can also play Bollywood music, Duo with Piano and Margaret can also be booked as a Solo Violinist. Having both trained at the Royal Northern College of Music and John subsequently at the Royal College of Music in London, they have gone on to lead busy freelance performing and teaching careers throughout the UK and overseas. They enjoy playing a large variety of different genres and styles from classical to contemporary pop and are available for session and orchestral work, corporate functions, private parties and weddings. They have worked with many high-profile popular artists including Paloma Faith, Leona Lewis, Kylie Minogue , Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, Andrea Boccelli and Rhianna as well as appearing on television programmes such as The X Factor, Britains Got Talent, The Alan Carr Show, Top of The Pops and Strictly Come Dancing. As session musicians they have recorded for labels such as EMI, Epic, Polydor and Heavenly and have performed music in venues worldwide ranging from Primary Schools in China to a packed Royal Albert Hall and O2 Arena. As orchestral musicians they have had the privilege to work with some of the country’s finest orchestras, such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The London Mozart Players, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Ulster Orchestra and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra amongst others. Margaret and John love helping people to mark the important moments in their lives with music and have played for numerous weddings, birthdays, proposals, parties and family events over the last 20 years. They also perform for corporate clients and have entertained at venues such as Hampton Court and Kensington Palace, The Victoria and Albert Museum, The Cutty Sark, The Tower of London, The Gherkin, The Chelsea Flower Show and London Fashion Week.
