Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We endeavour to provide the listed musicians, but in rare occasions we have to use regular deps to cover for illness or other absence.

Do you have different line-up options?

No, it is just the four of us. We can provide a drummer if needed, but haven't been asked so far.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We try to be flexible, but cannot guarantee that a change will be possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

How much time do you need to set up?

About 30 minutes is sufficient.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, but we purely work from carefully crafted arrangements, so cannot do requests that we haven't already prepared.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes. We have a small amplifier for the String Bass that can be used with a microphone if needed.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Given time, we can prepare special requests. beforehand.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our accessibility and different take on the music.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Gardens, churches and halls.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Gershwin, Glenn Miller, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We don't do "High Profile" as it is not our aim.

Thanks very much for your entertainment last Tuesday. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did (practically) everyone I have spoken to. The only negative came from an elderly lady, who said you played too quietly. But then, I don't know how far away she was! Most of the praise was spontaneous, no need to prime the interviewees. As far as next year is concerned, I shall have stepped down by then, so someone else will have to decide. I shall, of course, give them a nudge in your direction, so who knows? Anyway, thanks for a great job this year. Best wishes to all the band for a musically beneficial year.

We have begun a good relationship with Double Duos this year with performances on our extensive outside area and with an upcoming much larger afternoon tea dance within a marquee on our lawns. They are a very friendly professional quartet, with a varied repertoire, who can adjust their playlist to suit their audience. This provides great confidence when planning and organising events.
