We had so many comments on how beautiful the singing was. It made our celebration of our Mum a very special, moving and memorable occasion.

We booked Donaghue Quartet for our Christmas themed wedding last December. I knew I always wanted live music as opposed to a recording, performed by a classical choir or group. From the outset Donaghue Quartet were incredibly helpful and professional. Alistair was so accommodating with our choices of music (specific 4 part a cappella arrangements of 2 Disney songs, Once Upon a December from the film Anastasia, plus Christmas songs) and really put my mind at rest as the bride to be that all would run smoothly on the day. Alistair was very efficient in communication, quick to answer emails and texts. We had our wedding service in a small church with not much available space, and Donaghue Quartet were very flexible and happy to sit/stand where they could, and arrived early to rehearse before performing during our wedding. They sang as I walked down the aisle, during the signing of the register, and as we processed out at the end of the ceremony. They were also very willing to work with our organist, and sang along to the hymns we had chosen to really boost the sound in the church. To hear some of our favourite songs performed in such a beautiful way, really helped make the ceremony so special and unique to us as a couple. I would 100 per cent recommend Donaghue Quartet and would like to thank them all again for really helping to make our wedding ceremony so perfect.

We booked Donaghue Quartet for our wedding ceremony in August 2024. They were incredible and made our ceremony so so special. The group sang during hymns which created the most amazing atmosphere and then sang solo during signing of registers which was so special! We had so many guests comment on how wonderful you all were, so so talented. Thank you so much for making our ceremony perfect! Gabby & Ben

Christmas Music:
O come all ye faithful
Good king Wenceslas
Gaudete
O little town of Bethlehem
Ding dong merrily on high
Coventry carol
Angels from the realms of glory
While shepherds watched their flocks by night
In dulci jubilo
We wish you a merry Christmas
Hark the herald angels sing
God rest you merry gentlemen
Once in royal David’s city
The Holly and the Ivy
Away in a manger
It came upon the midnight clear
Joy to the world
O little one sweet
Silent night
Deck the halls
Angels Carol (Rutter)
And any more on request!
Other carols:
A great and mighty wonder
A merry Christmas (We wish you)
A virgin most pure
Adeste fideles
Angels from the realms of glory
As with gladness men of old
Away in a manger
Coventry carol
God rest you merry gentlemen
Good King Wenceslas
The Holly and the Ivy
I saw three ships
Infant holy, infant lowly
It came upon the midnight clear
The Linden tree carol
O little one sweet
O little town of Bethlehem
On Christmas night all Christians sing
Past three o'clock
Rejoice and be merry
See amid the winter's snow
Sussex Carol
Sweet was the song the Virgin sang
The Three Kings
Torches
Unto us is born a Son
Wassail, wassail all over the town
What cheer?
When Christ was born
While shepherds watched their flocks
The truth sent from above
Bethlehem Down
O come, O come Emmanuel
In the bleak midwinter
I wonder as I wander
Angels we have heard on high
The first Noel
Silent Night
Joy to the world
O Holy Night
Nativity Carol
Candlelight Carol
Shepherd's Pipe Carol
Sans Day Carol
Mary's Lullaby
Dormi, Jesu
Love came down at Christmas
Wexford Carol
Deck the hall
I saw Three Ships
Tomorrow shall be my dancing day
What sweeter music

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I think they love our voices, and our professionalism. Since we do all our rehearsing in advance, we just show up and deliver a professional performance on the day.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have a wide range of experience, and most of us have performed in highly prestigious venues, such as the Royal Albert Hall, St Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I think we're most influenced by some of the best choral groups performing at the moment - like them, we're all working towards the highest standards in singing.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

All of us have performed on national television, or live on BBC Radio 3. I imagine that's probably the highest profile!

Do you have different line-up options?

Our lineup is usually a quartet, but we can change the lineup to suit your needs. We sometimes have clashes with availability of some members of the quartet, so we occasionally draw on a list of trusted deputies. It might not be the exact same lineup as in our photos, but rest assured we only use singers who we know and trust will do a fantastic job!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible, especially with things like rehearsing with an organist on the day. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We have been known to sing along with specified backing tracks, or to do a mixture of live music and some recorded songs. Get in touch to find out more!

How much time do you need to set up?

It varies, depending on the event. We usually do all our rehearsal in advance of the day, and then we may have a brief rehearsal with the organist before a service, for example. It really depends on the level of music - if it's just some familiar hymns to help lead the congregation, we can often turn up 30 minutes before a service and go straight in!

Can you roam around while you perform?

Sometimes we move around to more than one location within the venue. Moving up to the altar for the signing of the registers, or leading hymns from the gallery. It depends on the venue, but we're happy to be flexible!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Of course! We also take requests ahead of time, so if you have something you want to hear, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate it.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Usually we just turn up as ourselves, without any external amplification. We're all classically trained singers, and usually have no problems with projection.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We usually do take requests, yes!
