Wowed you with the tagline didn't I? Well allow me to introduce myself. I am the music man, I can play many things but maybe I do things a little different. I specialise in live improvisation; I listen to what's around me, I take in the atmosphere, think about what will enrich that particular moment and then add to it. Think of my music like seasoning to your event . All of my gigs start with a dialogue. You give me an idea of the vibe you want and from there we can discuss what to do. I'll share with you every part of my set up for your gig so there's no confusion or hidden surprises along the way. I graduated from the University of Manchester with a distinction in instrumental and vocal composition. Since then I have performed and composed around the world, most recently Europe and the USA. I saw Dominic perform Tiresias 2.0 live at Spanners Arch and it was phenomenal! Incredibly visceral, like nothing I'd seen before. Would highly recommend to anyone if they want to experience something different and thought provoking

Dom helped me with a project at York St John’s ‘Bunker Studio’ putting together a professional recording of a single. He also appeared as a singer on a later concept album I wrote. He is a brilliant talent and perfectionist but with a great attitude who loved every minute he had working with me in the studio

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If timings change, just let me know! I am more than happy to be as flexible as possible when it comes to your event.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

An Ipod service before and between sets is something I can absolutely do and I offer that for free. If you are wanting a DJ service afterwards this is something I would be able to provide but would need notice in advance. I would charge £20 per hour for this.

How much time do you need to set up?

I like to get to the performance with plenty of time to spare. I like getting to the venue an hour before the performance. It takes me half an hour to set up so that I have some spare time if you would like to run through things before the performance.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Of course! My setlist shows the variety I am able to play and is designed so that it can be tailored towards each individual event. Let me know in advance and I am also happy to add any extra songs that are not on the setlist.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes absolutely! For my solo set I bring my own microphone, amplifier and looper pedal. And of course guitar!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course! My set list is more of a taster so there's a chance I'll already know it. Depending on simplicity I may have to charge a little extra if practise time is required. A simple pop song I will do for free but a classical or instrumental piece I will charge £10 per hour of rehearsal. I will log my rehearsal time so you know I am being fair.
