Hello there! I’m Dominic Degavino, and I’m a pianist who has performed concerts across the UK and beyond. Some of my concert highlights include solo performances at the Wigmore Hall and Southbank Centre, London and The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester, and I’ve also made multiple concerto appearances including with the Manchester Camerata and RNCM Symphony Orchestra. I studied in Manchester at both Chetham's School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, then did my Master’s at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. I took part in many masterclasses while I was a student, including with pianists such as Lang Lang, Richard Goode, Imogen Cooper, Peter Frankl and John O'Conor. I’ve also won prizes across Europe, including at the Concours International de Piano d'Epinal in France, J.N. Hummel International Piano Competition in Slovakia, Giorgos Thymis International Piano Competition in Greece, and the Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition and Royal Over-Seas League Competition in the UK, as well as the RNCM Gold Medal while I was a student there. Nowadays I spend most of my time performing concerts, both as soloist and also as an accompanist and chamber music player, but I am very happy playing music in any kind of event. As well as classical pieces, I also love to play jazz, and I was a member of both the Chet’s and RNCM Big Bands as a student. Have a look at the videos above for more of an idea of what I can do. Thanks for reading!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem, just let me know. I'll always aim to be as flexible as I possibly can.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This is not something I offer at the moment, I'm afraid - sorry.

How much time do you need to set up?

If I'm bringing my own keyboard, then I would aim to start setting up at least 30 minutes before the performance starts. If it's on your piano, then 5 minutes is enough.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

As long as everything is in working order and it is in tune, then yes, I'm very happy to!

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes I can - I have a digital piano and a speaker I can bring with me. All I need is a power socket within 10 metres of where I'll be playing. Unfortunately I can't play it outside in the rain!

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I'm always happy to learn new music, and often I can learn something new for your event with no extra fee, if given enough notice - we can discuss this in a phone call before the event.
