Deviant Order take an entirely new spin on dance music, by intertwining explosive live instrumental playing into a plethora of electronic genres, such as house, garage, breakbeat, psytrance, and jungle - just to name a few. With their electrifying mixture of originals and remixes of popular tunes, of which we make entirely their own, they combine the showmanship of a live band and the entrancing atmosphere of a club or rave to create a maximally immersive experience. Consisting of high-energy drummer and producer Tristan "TC Quested" Smith and enigmatic guitarist Ioan Bryn, the duo met and formed at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts - since then, they have played various venues around Liverpool, including The Jacaranda, EBGBS, Zanzibar, Boxpark, Jimmy's, Arts Bar, Commune, and have even played an otherwise all-DJ line up at the iconic 24 Kitchen Street. Recently, the duo have began playing house parties, and are planning to branch out into other functions such as weddings. Deviant Order boast a very extensive repertoire, from their mind-melting, dramatic originals to their anthemic remixes of crowd-pleasing classics. The duo's remixes range as far as artists like Bruno Mars and Childish Gambino to The Prodigy and Rage Against The Machine, all woven together by the thread of the Deviant Order signature sound. The duo have a versatile live show, sometimes using a compact set-up consisting of just drums and guitar, to including instrument-swapping with keyboards and occasionally even guest musicians and dancers. They also adapt their material to whichever show they are playing, whether it be a set of their sing-along remixes for a party, a driving set for a rock show, or a set of trippy grooves for a rave or electronic music event. Whatever the setting, you'll be guaranteed a high-energy set with their signature racing outfits and silly on-stage dance moves.
