I was looking for the right pianist to play live music at my boss’ 60th birthday dinner. Derek is a top-notch performer. He played the songs so beautifully, it is as if I could see a story in his music. We even asked him to play songs which we did not mention before the event. All of us were amazed at how well he could play the songs from just his memory. Besides being a gifted pianist, he was extremely responsive to all our ideas/needs. He was also well organised and detailed, as he can be counted on to have all the logistics figured out in advance such as equipment set up and volume check. Derek’s talent, along with his genuine desire to deliver a perfect evening was absolutely wonderful!
