What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Usually my times are flexible, just let me know of any changes as soon as possible.

How much time do you need to set up?

All main preparations will be done in the months/weeks preceding the event so setup on the night is smooth; I will either contact the venue to specify details or if close enough, visit and test myself. Providing this happens I will arrive 30 minutes before set time, and will switch over with a background mix to set the mood and atmosphere before I start.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely, it is your event and I will endeavour to play your chosen songs/playlist. Through years of playing countless events and sets I pick the songs which have worked well before, and look likely to work based on the atmosphere and guest requests.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring my own DJ equipment and microphone which I can plug in to venue systems.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Please let me know of any must-plays in good time before the event. If I have to buy additional songs (over 10) there will be a fee to take in to account, I download all of my songs from legitimate pay-services so the artists get paid for their work.

Dechlan is not only a valued friend but a talented, hard working, passionate and dedicated DJ. Having Dechlan play at my 30th birthday party was special because his rapport with my guests and the way he injected fun in to the party went above and beyond what I would have expected. Dechlan has a great sense in assessing the right type of music, according to the vibe, atmosphere and response of guests, and as a result Dechlan picked such brilliant tracks that had all my guests dancing and having such an enjoyable time. Dechlan’s approach to DJing is so refreshing as you can see his genuine love and passion for what he does. His personality is infectious and he maintained a genuine interest in meeting with and speaking to my guests throughout the evening. I thoroughly appreciated the respect Dechlan gave to making announcements asked of him, and to the respect he gave to the owners of the boat on which I hosted my party. Dechlan worked very well with the owners of this hired venue and kept in great communication with them in the lead up to the party. During and after my party I received such wonderful compliments regarding Dechlan as a DJ and as an approachable and friendly character. Dechlan’s contribution to my party completed how special an occasion it was for me. I highly recommend Dechlan’s DJing services to any event. Due to Dechlan’s professionalism and skills I can guarantee you will receive an incredibly top service, which will make for one memorable event.
