Deborah Holborn is originally a BMus Honours graduate from the University of Edinburgh, she then continued her studies towards a Masters in Music Therapy postgraduate from Queen Margaret University (Edinburgh). Deborah Holborn (née Miller) completed postgraduate studies in voice at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She continues to work with teacher Neil Baker and coach Kelvin Lim. Recent opera roles have included: “Fenena” (Nabucco), “Mother” (Hansel and Gretel), “La Zia Principessa” (Suor Angelica), Chorus (Fidelio) with Longborough Opera, “La Maestra della Novizie” (Suor Angelica), “1st Alms sister” (Suor Angelica), “Miss Jessel” (Turn of the Screw), “Orange Seller” (Carmen), “Flower Maiden” (Parsifal), “Second Lady” (Dido and Aeneas) and “Mother Goose” (The Rake’s Progress). Future performances include; “Adalgisa” (Norma)- Cover with Aylesbury Opera, chorus (The Flying Dutchman) with Longborough Opera, “Giovanna” (Rigoletto) with Opera de Bauge, “Mercedes” (Carmen) with Brent Opera, and a recording of a new opera “Reign” by Nino Russell. Outside of opera she has an active concert life giving both public and private recitals across the UK. Please contact her for more details.
