Deborah Gothard began singing in her early 20’s She studied for her Guildhall exams where she gained distinction at grade 8 and competed in the Norfolk County Music Festival for many years with much success. She has performed regularly as a soloist with opera companies throughout Norfolk more latterly with Livewire Opera. Where she has performed numerous lead roles including the widow in The Merry Widow, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Katisha in The Mikado and the mother superior in the of Music. She has also performed solo oratorio work and is a keen choral singer.
