Davidona Pittock

Scottish soprano, Davidona Pittock is a graduate from The Royal College of Music with a Masters in Vocal Performance. She was a Sir Gordon Palmer Scholar supported by The Simon Fletcher Trust and The Caird Trust under the tutelage of Rosa Mannion. Her repertoire coaches have included Roger Vignoles and Simon Lepper. Davidona is a London Festival Opera Artist and was a competitor in The 2019 Wigmore Hall/Independent Opera International Song Competition in September. In August 2018, Davidona made her professional debut as Annina in Westminster Opera Company's 10th Anniversary production of Verdi's La Traviata where she also had the opportunity to step in to cover the role of Violetta. In October, she was a finalist of The Georges Enesco International Singing Competition in Paris and in July 2019, Davidona returned for a second year as an Emerging Artist with Westminster Opera Company in the role of Musetta La Bohème. Her recent public performances also include recitals such as Café Melodie Française, a selection of French songs, in collaboration with Roger Vignoles and selected scenes as Snow Maiden (The Snow Maiden), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte) in The Royal College of Music Masters Opera Scenes. Born in Edinburgh, Davidona completed her Bachelor of Music Honours at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2016 with a joint First Class in Vocal Performance and second study Scots song. As part of the Erasmus+ scheme, Davidona was accepted to The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland in 2014, to study her 3rd year of the Bachelor’s degree. Through The Sibelius Academy, Davidona performed in the world premiere of Kalevi Aho’s opera Frida y Diego and was part of the chorus in Rossini’s Il Viaggio A Reims directed by acclaimed Finnish director, Ville Saukkonen.
