Davide Pasqualini

Hi, I am Davide, also known as Dado. I am a professional drummer/percussionist with Italian roots. I began my professional music career in 2002 as a London Underground busker; after one year of playing the didjeridoo with a mini drum-kit for the London commuters, I started receiving copious booking requests from various London based artists and bands. I travelled a couple of times to Cuba to study and immerse myself in Afro-Cuban rhythms with local musicians. I have been described by fellow musicians as a versatile drummer/percussionist and I feel comfortable behind a drum-kit, a percussion set, or a hybrid kit. I have performed with top bands and artists across the world, from the UK, Europe, South America, Africa and Hong Kong. My experience includes performing at festivals and venues across the world including: Leverkusener Jazz Stage (Germany); Ronnie Scott’s (London, UK); Mandela’s 90 Birthday (Hyde Park, London, UK); Guitar Festival (Tampere, Finland); Big Chill Festival- main stage – (UK); North Sea Jazz Festival (Netherlands); Luminato Festival (Canada); Cemal Concert Hall (Istanbul); The Sage (Gateshead, UK); London African Festival (UK); X Mercado Cultural (Bahia, Brazil); New Port Jazz Festival (UK). Opera House (Hanoi, Vietnam) Opera House (HCMC, Vietnam) I have worked and collaborated with many artists including: Carmen Souza; Antonio Forcione; Gwyneth Herbert; Sara Schiralli; Heidi Vogel; MaciekPysz; Maurizio Minardi; Modeste Hugues; Nancy Vieira, Urban Soul Orchestra, Michael Schiefel and Seckou Keita. It is my joy and privilege to have played with so many amazing artists from across the world, performing intimate jazz gigs in world and festival tours.
