Based in the UK, our members came together through a shared love of classic funk and soul, then naturally developed our unique sound. What sets us apart from a lot of other performers is our genuine love of performing together, the cohesion and professionalism of our members is second to none. Our repertoire utilizes the raw funk of King Curtis, the heavy bass of James Brown and the household hooks of Stevie Wonder plus many more; guaranteeing the ideal entertainment for any event. Das Happy are a dedicated band who never fail to provide a high octane performance that transfuses effortlessly to the audience.

I booked the Music Machine for a private gig in York and couldn't have been more please. The band were super lovely and played an amazing set. Myself and my guests had a wonderful time and would definitely book them again.

I couldn't imagine you could find a better band for an event or function. I was blown away by the talent of all the musicians and the energy they bring to their performance. They are fabulous fun, a wonderful bunch of friendly and easy going people who will bring an event alive with their signature soul and funk numbers. Totally recommended.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, we are also all singers and regularly harmonize throughout the tracks.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is as follows, Vocals, Lead Guitar, Piano, Bass Guitar, Drums, Saxophone.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We can be flexible with any timings, just keep in touch with us and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we absolutely can. This can be played through our PA at no additional cost.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually require and hour to set up and do a full sound check.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are based on what we know works for the events that we perform, however simply let us know what works for you and we are happy to be flexible.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our set list and you'd like us to perform it, we will happily do this for you. Just ask us as we may already know it, it may incur a small rehearsal fee charge to learn additional pieces.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

From experience audiences and clients love our unique performance style and professionalism. We don't just perform as a carbon copy of any other band and all of our covers have our strong Music Machine stamp on them. Our unique arrangements and colorful styles distinguishes us from any other band on the market.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Our members have performed at the Coal Exchange Cardiff, the O2 arena in London. Also festivals such as the world famous childrens festival Geronimo, Deershed and many more.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

All of our members take a heavy influence from a range of Artists such as Stevie Wonder, Otis Reading, Sly & The Family Stone, The Bee Gees, Aretha Franklin. The list is too long to name them all!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Our members have performed on stage in front of around 10,000 people at Geronimo Festival in Knebworth.
