Darell is an exceptional performer who really made our day. Everyone at the event was blown away by his playing and the emotion he put into his music. From first contact Darell was personable, accommodating and flexible around our needs. With a repertoire spanning multiple genres and some bespoke improv thrown in for good measure he was really able to match what we were looking for. What do your clients love most about your performances?

The quiet and yet ambient environment provided by my music and playing

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at Royal Festival Hall, Banqueting House, Waddesdon Manor and countless other country houses

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I'm most inspired by pianists such as Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans and Diana Krall. I also have inspirations from modern musicians such as Frank Ocean and Michael Buble

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I performed at the London Film Festival on two occasions with guests present such as Robert DeNiro, Viola Davis and Daniel Kaluuya

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be flexible in order to create the best possible performance day. Just try to communicate and give as much notice as possible if there are any changes

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I can offer this upon request. There is a Bluetooth function built into my PA which is a firm favourite of guests.

How much time do you need to set up?

I take round about 15 minutes to set up usually. I try to arrive at least an hour before the performance time

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Of course. Sometimes that is easier to do

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely! I do, however, acknowledge it might be quite overwhelming to do this alone, so I'm more than happy to work work together with you to create a unique set list for your event. I also take reasonable requests if certain songs are favourites of yours and not on my list.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes. I am able to bring my on keyboard and PA system. All my equipment is PAT tested and I have PLI. This can be included at an extra cost if this is a derived you would like

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I am able to learn requests, however these are subject to an additional fee per song which can be discussed depending on the difficulty level and the time taken to learn the song
