I am a grade 8 pianist with 10+ years of playing piano. I specialise in improvisation, compositions, sight reading as well as teaching. I am currently a pilot finishing up with flight training, but I have a passion for music and piano which I am doing on the side. I am an out-going, friendly individual with good communication skills who loves to meet and chat with different people. I am also an extremely enthusiastic and hard working individual who is always prepared for an event and will arrive on time! Out of all of the piano events that I have participated in (Concerts, Nativities, Parties, Special Gatherings), people have found my music to have set a tranquil atmosphere and I have been told that my music mesmerised them, put them at ease and that I helped them have a more enjoyable time. We chose Darren to play at our restaurant for an opening event. To call him a genius would be an understatement. When he told me after the event that he made those songs up on the spot, the staff and I could not believe it! We also gave him a list of songs that we requested to be played initially and he played all of them beautifully! Would highly recommend him and once you hear his music, you want to keep listening to him play!

Darren is a talented young pianist who was very polite with the guests at my private business event. I asked him for smooth, easy listening background music for the guests which he delivered. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed listening to his music and it was so good that people went quiet during the evening meal. A brilliant pianist and a great person to talk to!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings do change, if you let me know in advance, I'm sure we would be able to make adjustments to the times.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm more than happy to play on it.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

It would be more preferred if there was a working and in tune piano located at the site.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there is a special song you would like me to learn, I am more happy to do so, as long as you let me know in good time which song you would like me to play before the event starts.
