About the Band Formed in 2012, Dark Horses are five musicians who came together with the sole intention of breathing new life into classic rock songs from the late1960's onwards. David provides the powerful main vocals - and authentic sounding guitar, bass and drums from Sam, Mark and Steve complete the line-up. For more intimate venues, Dark Horses now also offer an alternative acoustic set. Full pa and lighting are included ... providing the audience with a musical trip into a bygone era that’s just itching to spring back to life. Based around Coventry, with a wealth of experience, the band have gigged extensively in the Midlands and further afield, and earn many repeat bookings. David Seeley – Vocals; With his obligatory flowing ‘rock locks’ David is definitely Dark Horses’ ‘mane’ man. His early training in opera has now given him the ability to sing in almost any style required, and his boundless enthusiasm to perform gives the band a genuine edge. Sam Baxter – Guitar & backing vocals; Self taught guitarist Sam has been a side-man playing many styles, punk, funk, soul, ska, indie, folk and blues, giving him a background of tricks and licks now put to good use in Dark Horses, where he finally gets to play the music he grew up listening to as a kid. It's about time. Mark Nisbet – Bass Guitar & backing vocals; After playing bass in many bands, from prog rock to folk, and everything inbetween, multi-instrumentalist Mark now brings his valuable experience to the stable of Dark Horses. Steve Labram - Drums & backing vocals; With a background including Heavy Metal to Funk, from Soul to Classic Rock, he sits at the back and hits things. It makes him happy. And why not?
