Singing guitarist
Manchester

“Daniel Thomas is an Irish singer/songwriter who creates intimate, acoustic folk music. Writing lyrics that speak from his heart and reach the deepest parts of yours, Daniel makes his songs personal and relatable through his own experiences. With inspiration from the likes of Novo Amor and Lizzy McAlpine, his music is sure to give you a warm feeling along with his soft, soothing vocals.“ My strength is slow, melancholic music to add a lovely delicate touch to a wedding reception, or a garden picnic but I love to sing pop and old rock music to give a little bit of kick to even the chillest events! I will always try my best with requests and will be a great joy to be at your service.

“Daniel Thomas was our first warm-up. A classic example of the introverted, pour-your-heart-out style of acoustic pop. He delivered a warm, comforting set – perfectly initiating this intimate night of music. A sweet moment of family unity preceded a cover; his mum and grandma had flown out from Northern Ireland to see him. They shared a knowing look in his explanation of ‘Home Again‘; another lovely example perhaps of music’s ability to bring people together. High notes include his cover of Phoebe Bridgers’ ‘Graceland 2‘ – the flowing movement in the melody and emotional nuance lent themselves excellently to the half-Irish, half- American crackly twang of his voice. It was a most enjoyable stroll through the classic songwriter trifecta: love, loss, longing. I was particularly struck by the aforementioned ‘Home Again‘ – a concise and articulate expression of how time can change how you perceive parts of your life, and the harshness of adjusting to that change. Clearly a talented songwriter; a strong start!“
