Daniel was born into a musical family in Norwich. Piano played a major part in his life from a very early age during his initial Suzuki training with teacher Hugh Stimpson. He later went on to include Jazz piano in his musical studies with Simon Brown which laid the foundations to his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Daniel's playing flourished here as he fine tuned his playing both in solo and ensemble/chamber performance in Classical and Jazz piano. He also developed a passion for teaching during these years and began taking on students in Cardiff whilst receiving mentorship from his music college professors. Upon the completion of his Master's degree Daniel was a highly competent performer, received invaluable experience as a teacher, developed a 'niche' interest in cross-disciplinary repertoire, and made it a commitment to become a successful teacher and musician.
Since his graduation Daniel teaches a full list of pupils in SW London and engages regularly in a portfolio of roles as a pianist ranging from Ballet work, exam accompaniment, solo recitals, background musician, function pianist and chamber musician.
The professional experience has furthered his graduate commitment and he aims to set up a dedicated teaching studio in mid 2017 following a relocation outside of London. This will act as a landmark step towards the creation of a small but successful music school called 'Cadenza Music'.
