Daniel Hall is a multi-award winning composer & arranger whose works have been performed by some of the country’s leading ensembles, including the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House London, Eminence Brass Quartet, Tredegar Town Band and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. He has worked with international soloists and ensembles such as Lode Violet & Brass Band Willebroek (BEL), Brass Band Öberösterreich (AUT), Fabian Bloch & Liberty Brass Band (CHE) and Gilles Rocha & the European Youth Brass Band. Awards include winning the 7th European Composers Competition in Montreux, Switzerland 2019 with A Dialogue of Transmogrified Souls (2019). Winning the 3rd John Golland Award, leading to being asked to write Sanctuary! (2017) used as the set test at the 2019 European Youth Brass Band contest. PRS & Arts Council England funded award for 886 (2015) Colours, as well as receiving an award from the Welsh Music Guild 2019 for his orchestral work QuickDraw (2018). Daniel is also a freelance conductor & trumpet player, founding the Cardiff based Hybrid Orchestra ‘Prestige 6 Orchestra’ and performing with various ensembles such as Netflix’s Sex Education swing band, Year of the Dog. Daniel graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2019 with a first class honours in composition, studying with Mark Boden & Odilon Marcenaro.

Matt and Dan were amazing for our charity event on boxing day they had everyone up on the dance floor with a great mixture of genres.. fantastic duo highly recommend these guys will hopefully be booking them again for next year's event!!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

If you're hiring one of my bands then we can DJ before, between and after sets for a negotiable fee. Or if you prefer, we can always whack an iPod on.

How much time do you need to set up?

Depending on the service, setting up should take no longer than 1 hour.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

A fresh new approach to something old and beautiful. Being entertained by a high energy fuelled performance of heart and spirit.
