A professional musician with 30 years of performance experience, saxophone, vocals, music arranging/writing and recording D-Natrel – Saxophonist is a soulful versatile saxophonist and vocalis with over 20 years of professional performance experience. Trained in Music and Film at the Academy of Music (University of West London), I have honed a repertoire of dozens of songs spanning genres like, Pop, Jazz, R&B, and Ska, ensuring a wide appeal to diverse audiences. D_Natrel offers a sizzling set-list of favourites - all to bring your event a Groovy Good Time. Combining Old-School Soul, Motown, R&B vocals with smatterings of Smooth Jazz Saxophone. Otis Redding to the Temptations , Grover Washington Jr to erm, Ellie Sax D_Natrel biog D_Natrel started out on his musical journey playing clarinet in his grammar school orchestra (“..to avoid Latin lessons”). After eventually completing his education, he went on to a life of playing and singing in top nightclubs and music venues up and down the country. Sang and played keyboards and sax with the top local soul bands in the 90’s eg Superfly, Dignity and Planet Soul. In the late 90’s, following a successful TV debut playing smooth-jazz sax, D_Natrel was offered a lucrative recording deal with the legendary Island record label. Despite the opportunity of thus fulfilling his lifelong ambition, the erstwhile musical prodigy, somewhat paradoxically, instead opted to combine his passion for singing and playing with a career in the more prosaic world of IT. “It’s a much steadier gig” he purportedly said at the time. D_Natrel however, soon grasped that each sojourn in the various UK and worldwide locations offered an excellent opportunity to ply his musical stock-in-trade in a whole new vibrant location, alongside a coterie of new musical talent (all the while working as an itinerant IT contractor). ‘D’ went on to playing extensively and for protracted periods in locations as disparate as California’s Bay Area, the Middle-East, Ibiza & the Balearic Islands, London’s Soho, and Edinburgh - each providing a uniquely valuable and exciting musical experience. D_Natural is now back in his native West Yorkshire, enjoying playing and singing his extensive musical repertoire in more intimate venues including prestigious jazz clubs, private functions, corporate events, weddings and dances. “The Ibiza Style Dance Sax Power Hour is proving especially popular
