Dan Barker-Bey

Graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2012, I have spent a musical lifetime devoted to the pursuit of excellence in musical performance and built a professional career that has seen me perform and educate widely in the North of England. I have performed as: a featured soloist, alongside DJ’s as a club/house duo, as part of larger pop function bands, as a member of smaller jazz combos and notably since 2012 as part of the ever popular seven piece swing band ‘Swingamathing’. I have a wealth of teaching experience having maintained a large roster of private students of varying ages, abilities and ambitions for the past 8 years. I have also been the saxophone tutor at Artforms’ North Leeds Music Centre since 2013, and have taught ensemble classes for Jazz At Heart for the past two years. I pride myself on my professionalism and execution, and can be relied upon to provide either a dazzling musical showpiece or atmospheric backdrop to your event, or bespoke musical/instrumental tuition to suit your needs.
