Daisy-Belle Dumsday is a Soprano, originally from Blackburn, currently in her fourth year of studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Daisy has performed at many events, including as the soprano soloist for Mozart’s Requiem at Blackburn Cathedral, at both Manchester Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, as well as supporting local community events. Most recently, Daisy has played the parts of Rodelinda in Handel’s Rodelinda, Lucilla in Rossini's La Scala Di Seta, Laetitia in Menotti’s The Old Maid and the Thief and Hélène in Messager’s Veronique as part of the RNCM opera excerpts. Daisy also has performed in New Zealand at weddings and functions. In 2012, Daisy was chosen to perform a solo for Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to commemorate their visit to Accrington upon the occasion of the diamond jubilee. She also performed with Blackburn Central Choir at the London 2012 Olympic Games. It was also in this year that Daisy was awarded the Ahsan Ali Syed choral Scholarship at Blackburn Cathedral. Daisy performs on a regular basis at her own church and charitable events.
