My name is Sam Wheelhouse, born in the city of Nottingham & I have a great love for music! As a DJ, I firmly believe that good sound, flashing lights, and partying with close ones are the ultimate ingredients for an unforgettable experience. It's an incredible feeling to deliver the best memories through music. Each gig is unique and I love showcasing a variety of music genres to ensure that there's always something special for everyone. I take great pride in my personal sound and lighting system because good quality sound and lighting can make a world of difference in making an event a permanent memory. I've hosted my own DJ events and performed all around the East Midlands for private parties, Christmas events, 30th Birthdays, weddings, and more. I've played at numerous bars and clubs from Birmingham to Sheffield, and everything in between, always reading the crowd and delivering the best night possible for everyone involved. My DJing style can be tailored to the requirements of the event. While my personal favourites include 90's disco/dance, house favourites, and dance floor fillers, there's hardly any music I don't enjoy playing for my customers. I love to sing along with the crowd and ensure that everyone is enjoying the evening. In short, there's nothing more satisfying than a good night on the dance floor, and I strive to make each event unforgettable.

We booked Sam for my sons surprise 30th birthday and he was exceptional. He asked for a recommendation of tracks to play on the evening to give him an idea of the kind of atmosphere to create and he didn't disappoint! Absolutely fantastic all evening keeping everyone up on the dance floor til the last minute. Great feedback from all the guests attending. Entrance music for the birthday boy was spot on. He supported by providing a microphone for some short speeches. Not just a great DJ but a top guy. Would definitely recommend Sam and will 100% book him again. Thanks for a brilliant night.

Amazing DJ, great value! We booked Sam to DJ our evening wedding reception in September. He put in the work ahead of time to tailor the type of music we wanted to make our evening special. He did a great job reading the room and playing to the crowd, weaving in a few requests throughout the night. I would absolutely recommend Sam as a DJ for private events, he was excellent and his fees were very reasonable. Our wedding coordinator even commented that the dance floor was the busiest she had seen all season! I will definitely be booking Sam again for future events. Callum

Hi Sam I would like to thank you so much for making my 30th birthday party so special. We discussed prior to the event the sort of music that I enjoy as I am into my indie, rock, house and techno music and you did a great mix of songs which all the guests loved. What do your clients love most about your performances?

The energy & vibe created at each gig. I always feel it's important to show I'm having a good time (which I do!) and that the crowd feel involved & is happy to approach to ask for requests. I always like to discuss with them if their request will fit in as well - I don't like to just say 'yes' and then never play it!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Not to worry, we can come to a fair agreement to make sure the booking goes ahead in a professional manner. Please contact me to discuss further.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

As I'd be DJing for the night, this is already sorted. I can offer such a service for personal music choice by plugging in a device to play through the speakers.

How much time do you need to set up?

If it's a full setup with lights, speakers and everything in between, I'd required a minimum of 1 hour and 30 minutes. Local plugs are required. For just DJ decks as sound & lighting are supplied by the venue, I'd require around 45 minutes.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

It's my main goal to ensure the customer is happy & has the best night possible. I always request 10 songs which best describe their music taste & their favoured music type. I can then adapt to this and make it a night to remember! Any specific requests are always welcome, it's your special night!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I can supply a full sound & lighting set up, only electricity is required & a designated area to place the equipment.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I can pre-download any specific music requested. If on the night special request come in, I can accommodate this as well (as long as there's a data signal!)
