Gareth “Dukes” Hazard I’ve been DJing for over 20 years, playing everything from clubs and Pride events to private parties, weddings and corporate functions. Throughout that time, one thing has never changed: my belief that great music brings people together. My style is built around vocal house, dance anthems, club classics and creative mashups, with a focus on creating the right atmosphere for every event. Whether it’s a packed dancefloor at a Pride celebration, a wedding reception filled with family and friends, or a party where everyone just wants to let loose and have a great time, my job is to read the room, understand the crowd and keep the energy flowing throughout the night. I grew up inspired by the sounds of DJs and producers such as Pete Tong, the Hed Kandi brand, Dave Audé, Freemasons and the golden era of vocal house music. That influence still shapes my sets today. I love blending uplifting house tracks with well-known classics and unexpected mashups that make people smile, sing along and head straight for the dancefloor. Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to share the decks with artists including Bimbo Jones, Cahill, Liam Keegan, Mark Doyle (Fierce Angel/Hed Kandi) and the Wideboys. I was also proud to be nominated in the Midlands Zone Readers Awards for Best Midlands Club DJ. While those experiences have been highlights of my career, the moments that stay with me most are seeing a packed dancefloor, watching people celebrate together and knowing the music has helped create memories that will last long after the event is over. Alongside club work, I’ve always enjoyed playing for a wide range of audiences and occasions. I understand that every event is different, and no two crowds are the same. That’s why I don’t believe in simply turning up with a fixed playlist. Every set is shaped by the people in the room, the atmosphere we’re creating together and the experience the client wants their guests to have. Known to many as “Dukes”, I bring professionalism, reliability and a genuine passion for music to every booking. From the first conversation through to the final track of the night, I want clients to feel confident that their event is in safe hands. For me, DJing has never been about showing off technical skills or playing for other DJs. It’s about creating moments. It’s about the excitement when a favourite song drops, the feeling of a dancefloor singing together and those nights that people talk about long after they’ve gone home.
