ANAVI is a DJ and musician, originally from South Africa, now living in Lancashire, UK. From a young age ANAVI has always been the playlist queen at every house party and event. After completing her degree in music performance and production ANAVI took to DJ-ing and is loving every second of it. DJ ANAVI also curates music and presents a radio show once a month, so she's used to MC-ing and presenting for all kinds of events. After completing her degree in music production & performance, DJ ANAVI decided to further her interest in DJ-ing and started playing at house parties. Now she's ready for any event or party you have in mind. DJ ANAVI will make sure the vibe is right for your event whether it's relaxed, corporate, a house party or wedding! She'll take requests, and communicate with you on the lead up to your event. As a self-taught musician IVANA also plays saxophone, acoustic guitar, and sings. She has performed across the UK and Europe for audiences of 2,000.

A fantastic experience with DJ ANAVI at the Bollywood night! She kept the tempo going and smoothly changed between music which encouraged dancing whether you knew the song or not!! Highly recommend seeing her perform!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I've found that my clients have enjoyed the variety of genres and music I play depending on the atmosphere they want. They've found my knowledge of their favourite genres to be expansive and always being able to throw in a few surprises or long forgotten classics that ensure everyone gets on the dance floor and enjoys the event.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The New Continental, Preston The Grand, Clitheroe. Keystreet Bar/Nightclub, Clitheroe. Private house parties (Lancashire)

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

The music that has inspired me the most is probably 80/90s R&B. This is the music I grew up with and it definitely shaped the music I enjoying playing as a musician but also within my DJ sets. I have a lot of favourite genres from R&B/Pop to Rock, Emo and heavy metal. I do really love playing anything!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Currently the highest profile gig I have played was at The Grand in Clitheroe to a room of 400 people. I have exciting gigs lined up for 2024 and I can wait for them, and more bookings!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try to be accommodating if timings of the event change. I strive to make my customers happy so please don't be afraid to ask me if anything changes. Please note that I will need as much notice as possible if this is the case to ensure I can arrive on time if I'm travelling.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I am more than happy to organise a playlist before, after and in between my sets (no extra charge), that match your crowd and vibe. Just let me know if theres anything genre or atmosphere specific!

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually need about an hour to set up so I can make sure everything is ready to go for my performance, and again, Im more than happy to provide a playlist after I've set up, before my DJ set begins.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'd definitely happy to chat through your favourites or must-have's for the night and see what I can do!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes of course! Everything I need will be brought with me for each event. You won't need to worry about providing anything extra. As long as I have a space to set up and know where I'm going, We'll have a great time at your event.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Again as a DJ I should be able to be provide music specific to your event after we chat through what you're looking for. I'll try my best to accommodate on-the-night requests, but just be aware that my sets are all planned and prepped ready to bring the right vibe for your event!
