Music has always been how I connect with people, it's how I express what words can't. That's why I perform: to create a moment for the people listening. I hold a Master of Music from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and a, Bachelor of Music from King's College London, both in Piano Performance, plus the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM). That training shows on stage: I've performed Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No. 2 as soloist with orchestra, given solo recitals at historic venues including Old Royal Naval College Chapel, Burgh House, and St James' Sussex Gardens, and played chamber music at Wigmore Hall, one of the most prestigious stages in the world. My performing life goes beyond solo recitals, too. I'm an active chamber musician and I regularly work as an orchestral and collaborative pianist. I also spend a lot of time accompanying singers, which has shaped how I play: I've learned to listen closely, follow another musician's phrasing, and support the moment rather than dominate it. That instinct carries directly into how I perform for an audience or a couple on their wedding day. I'm not just playing at people, I'm playing with the room. I'm not a classical purist, either. I play Chopin and Rachmaninoff with the same care as your favourite pop songs, so the music fits your event, not mine. Elegant during a ceremony, upbeat for a reception.
