Born into a musical household, I was raised on ceilidhs and Scottish tunes, picking up the violin and singing early on. Winning scholarships and competitions led me to study at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and perform on television as a boy soprano. Transitioning to bass guitar, I delved into country rock and drum and bass, even creating loops for record labels. Collaborating with Heather Benson, we toured with the Synergy show, showcasing our vocals, guitar, and bass skills. Returning to my classical and folk roots, Heather and I formed 54 North. I also play fiddle in ceilidh bands, teach music, and produce plays and large-scale performances. As Musical Director of the International Bomber Command Choir and Orchestra, I collaborate with composers and lead folk sessions
