Corey Barton-Gunning

I am Corey and I have been playing bass for a while now and constantly improving my skills, from slap bass to, finger picked funk to bluesy walking basslines. I pride myself on how quick I can learn somgs or write basslines for songs, and how quick I can adapt a bassline to fit better. I use a lot of improvisation in my playing and can play anything requested of me! I am working towards my degree at uni currently and have a full diploma in music. My biggest inspirations for bass are bassists such as James Jamerson, Marcus miller, John Paul Jones, Nathan East, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Jaco Pastorius and Jack Bruce. This gives me a wide range of different artists ro learn from and a variety of different styles!! I have recorded a wide range of songs with my band The Embers and recorded songs myself just for fun. I have also done a wide range if gigs with my band using alot of improvisation whikst doing these gigs!!
