Conor McCarry is a musician and actor from Glasgow. He first started his music with busking at the age of 15; and since then it has taken him to towns and city centres all across Europe. He has played 100's of weddings and private gigs over the years. He has also sang with Green Day twice, once at The SECC in Glasgow and the other at Leeds First Direct Arena. Most recently as an actor he can be seen in the latest season of BBC's 'Shetland' as a series regular, 'Time' for BBC One and Outlander for Sony/Starz. As well as music and acting on screen he is also an accomplished Voice Over artist and has voiced campaigns on everything from Johnnie Walker whisky to Scottish Government Ads. Conor is also lead singer and rhythm guitarist of pop/rock band 'Cloud House'.

Conor played our wedding on 07.10.2023 at the Parklands hotel and he was just amazing! he performed during the ceremony and drinks reception and absolutely nailed my walking down the aisle song. it added to the emotion having him play! he did it justice. He spent time chatting before and sending over demos of songs to make sure it was perfect! I had so many compliments and feedback from guests! he was just amazing and he is also such a nice, genuine guy too! highly recommend! thank you x

Conor played our ceremony and filled out drinks reception with some excellent acoustic music. His communication through out the lead up to our big day was excellent. Making sure our songs were exactly what we wanted during our ceremony. He even sent some samples of the requests we had asked for. During the drinks reception we had to move him from one location to another where guests were gathering - this was no issue for Conor. He happily took requests from guests and everyone complimented how good he was. Very happy bride and groom! Had total confidence in Conor. Thanks for being soo friendly and giving us 0 stress! Would 10000% recommend. Felt like I’ve known Conor for years! Have definitely made a friend in Conor

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try to be as flexible as possible. Timing changes are part and parcel of weddings etc and I'm happy to accommodate wherever possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

I'm happy to play a Spotify playlist of your choosing when I take my short break.

How much time do you need to set up?

I like to set up 1/1.30hrs before to give myself ample time to prepare.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I'm happy to include a bunch of your favourite artists/songs wherever possible.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I bring everything I need. I only need access to a power supply and I'm good to go!

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Absolutely. We can have discussions way prior to your date to work out the final details. But I'm happy to personalise as much as I can to your big day!
