We’re Neil and Rachel and we formed CloudCover back in 2018 (a time before hand sanitiser, face masks and social distancing!). We are an acoustic guitar and vocal duo, based in the North West in the beautiful city of Chester. Our duo is comprised of Rachel on vocals and Neil on guitar, with our aim being to reimagine the acoustic duo. With over 25 years combined gigging experience, premium equipment and a slick aesthetic, our key style is focused around acoustic versions of current chart and modern pop songs. With an ever changing set list to match what’s currently exciting the nation and getting plenty of plays! Whilst this is our primary style we also play various other genres to match a variety of venues and audiences. We have a residency in The Botanist Bars and Restaurants and can be found performing in most of their venues in the North West. We also can be found playing at the Club House and Smugglers Cove in Liverpool.

We couldn’t have asked to have a better music duo than Rachel and Neil to play at our wedding in May 😊 They arrived in good time and were ready and set up to play for our drink’s reception after our ceremony, for our guests to enjoy listening to their music. Everyone complimented how well they played for our wedding. We both absolutely loved our first dance. If we could go back in time to this moment we would. We asked Rachel and Neil to learn a song from the TV show Nashville, as we both love listening to the songs from this TV show. Rachel’s vocals and Neil’s guitar playing worked perfectly for our first dance song, they both made it magical. We can’t recommend Rachel and Neil enough. They are both easy to work with and were super friendly on our wedding day. Thank you so much for being part of our day and making it special for us.

We heard Rachel & Neil at a wedding fayre, we knew as soon as we heard Neil play and Rachel's voice we had to have them play at our wedding, all communication and booking was made so easy and they honestly made us feel special to them too. on the day everyone loved all of their songs they sang and as we walked down the aisle Rachel's voice just stuck in our heads and gave us them goosebumps for how perfect Rachel sounded. they helped massive have everyone relaxed and just listening to them play. Cloud cover are absolutely brilliant and would hughly reccomend, we can't wait to see you at a botanist or helpfully more weddings.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is as follows: Vocals and Guitar.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes Please let us know and we’ll factor this into the quote.

How much time do you need to set up?

We need around 45 - 60 minutes to set up the equipment and sound check (dependant on access to the performance area).

Can you roam around while you perform?

Sadly not.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our Bose L1 PA system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £25 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
