I am very happy to play at external events whether it be formal or informal. My main style is classical music although I can provide some music in a jazz or pop style. I have a large range of classical piano repertoire ranging from Baroque to 20th Century which I can adapt to suit the mood of your event and provide a tailor-made experience. I am a young British-born Chinese pianist, accompanist and piano teacher. I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) with a Bachelor's Degree in Music where I studied piano with Dr. Stephen Savage. During my time at RNCM, I had to unfortunately battle against musician's dystonia; an incurable neurological condition affecting control of the fingers in my right hand. Nevertheless, I persevered and participated in various internal competitions, receiving a commendation in the Salon Prize with my cellist. Whilst at the RNCM,I have also had lessons with Stefano Fuizzi, Philippe Cassard, Daniel Herzcovitch and Harvey Davies. I have extensive performance experience (both solo and in chamber groups) performing at venues such as the Carole Nash Recital Room, RNCM Concert Hall, Sir Adrian Boult Hall and Fairfield Halls.  As a teenager, I studied at The Latymer School where I played an active life in their music department with highlights including performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A Major, K.440, playing one of the piano parts in a Two Piano and Choir version of Carmina Burana and accompanying the Chamber Choir. I also attended the Centre for Young Musician’s Saturday Music Centre (CYM). In 2013, I was the runner up in the CYM’s Louis Watt competition and was also part of the Theodora Trio that won the Performance Practice Award at the Music for Youth Finals in Birmingham. I also received a Jack Petchey Award and used the funds to invite Tom Poster to give a masterclass.

Customer questions

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes. Feel free to request songs or pick and mix from the set list.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Unfortunately I am not able to at the moment.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I would be happy to do that as long as I am told in advance. There may be extra fees depending on difficulty and rehearsal times.
