Claire, from Sussex, is a third year BMus student at the Royal College of Music, studying saxophone and clarinet with Martin Robertson and flute with Andy Panayi. She was previously a music and all-round scholar at Hurstpierpoint College, studying saxophone and clarinet with Andrew Sutton and Rodney Smith, and flute with John Cherry. By 2013, Claire had attained distinction at Grade 8 in all three instruments, and has since been improving her versatility by playing in pit orchestras for amateur theatre productions such as "Anything Goes", "Sweeney Todd", "Les Miserables" and "Sunset Boulevard" to name but a few. Away from musical theatre, Claire enjoyed two years as principal clarinet with the West Sussex County Youth Orchestra from 2011-2013, and currently enjoys performing with the Hestia Saxophone Quartet, who have played at prestigious venues such as BAFTA, Piccadilly. In August, Claire enjoyed leading NYMT's wind section in their production of "Sweet Charity" at The Curve in Leicester.
