Cillian has recently finished studying a Masters in Musical Theatre with Guildford School of Acting. For his undergraduate Cillian was lucky to enough to study on the prestigious joint course between the University of Manchester and the Royal Northern College of Music where he received a Bachelors of Music and a Graduate Diploma in Classical Singing.
As musical director Cillian has enjoyed leading many different productions and workshops for organisations such as; Guildford School of Acting Summer School, Youth Music Theatre UK, Royal Northern College of Music Youth Perform, Voiceworks NI and South Manchester Amateur Operatic's Society. A recent credit is Tess of the D'urberville's which was an original score by Pippa Cleary that enjoy a live cast recording published on Spotify and a ten performance run at The Other Palace, London. During his undergraduate studies Cillian took a number of conducting modules and worked as choral and orchestral conductor for several community ensembles.
Cillian's tenor solo repertoire includes Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Bach's Christmas Oratorio Part One, Haydn's Creation Part One. Whilst based in Manchester Cillian also enjoyed varied choral work, including a number of concerts accompanied by the BBC Philharmonic and several performances on BBC Daily Service. A personal highlight was performing as part of the opera chorus for two production with Bergen National Opera and the Edvard Greig Kor.
In 2017 Cillian began his masters in Musical Theatre and from July 2018 was represented by Hilary Gagan Associates. He looks forward to any musical theatre performance opportunities along with continuing his classical performances.
Aside from his training Cillian is a self-taught Celtic Harpist. Mainly employed for background music Cillian has a wide variety of repertoire and has enjoyed performing in many difference settings and events.
