Chris Murphy

Chris is a recent Masters graduate of Royal Academy of Music in London where he studied with Caitlin Hulcup, Raymond Connell and Iain Ledingham. An accomplished ensemble singer he is currently a Lay Clerk at Peterborough Cathedral, having previously sung with many ensembles in both the UK and Ireland, including Westminster Cathedral Choir, St Paul's Cathedral Choir, Temple Choir, Palestrina Choir and Rodolfus Choir. He also has experience in Opera, with roles including Arnalta (L'incoronazione do Poppea, Monteverdi), Tolomeo (Giulio Cesare, Handel), Endimione (La Calisto, Cavalli), Fox (Adventures of Pinocchio, Dove) and Rinaldo (Handel). Oratorio engagements in Ireland and UK have included works by Mozart, Handel, Bach and Britten. Along with the above Chris is also available to perform for weddings a d funerals, with many years experience of singing at such events and with a large knowledge of repertoire
