I'm not your typical wedding pianist. While I love creating beautiful moments during ceremonies and drinks receptions, I'm best known for bringing energy, interaction and atmosphere to weddings through live piano and vocals. My goal is simple: to create the kind of moments that guests talk about long after the wedding is over. I've been playing piano for over 25 years and have performed at hundreds of weddings and events across the UK. During that time, I've learned that the best entertainment isn't about playing through a set list - it's about reading the room, engaging with guests and creating a soundtrack that feels unique to every wedding. My signature "Challenge The Pianist" experience has become one of the most popular parts of the day for many couples. Guests request songs live, gather around the piano and become part of the performance. What starts as a wedding breakfast often turns into a room full of singing, laughter and unforgettable memories. It's interactive, unpredictable and completely different from traditional background music. As a vocalist as well as a pianist, I can move seamlessly from elegant live piano to high-energy singalongs, modern party anthems and crowd favourites. Whether it's Queen, Oasis, Elton John, ABBA or the latest chart hits, I love bringing people together through music and creating an atmosphere where everyone feels involved. We booked chris to play at our wedding last week and we could not have asked for more. From our very early interactions he was responsive and engaging and you could feel that it was important to him that we got what we wanted from the day. On the day, Chris arrived early to set up ahead of guests arriving for the ceremony and played through until the wedding breakfast was finished. He was the complete professional all day. Polite and courteous with guests and staff and nothing was too much trouble (including moving the full setup between 3 different rooms as the day progressed without a single complaint). His playing was beautiful, adding a subtle magic to the day, including a special request or two. And we had so many comments from guests. Ultimately we had the best day and Chris made a huge contribution. We could not recommend him highly enough.

Amazing, talented, friendly guy! We had Chris play throughout our wedding breakfast and what a perfect addition he was to our special day! Chris gave us an incredible atmosphere throughout our dinner and kept our guests singing away the whole time. I can’t even begin to say how many guests told us how amazing Chris was! Chris even joined in with the Best Man’s speech where our Best Man started singing a football related song for my husband in which Chris joined in completely unplanned, showing how experienced and professional he really is! Chris was really responsive from the point of booking over two years ago to even catching up with us after our day. And what an incredibly friendly guy he was too! 100% recommend for anyone that is looking for a talented man to bring a great atmosphere to your day!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The fact that as well as setting a great mood whatever the occasion, I am happy to take requests both in advance and on the day and tailor every event to make it personal to the client and their guests. I bring the energy and make every wedding I play one that guests will talk about for years.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed all over the country at weddings, corporate events and festivals, but regularly play around prestigious wedding venues in the North West. I am proud to be a recommended supplier to Merrydale Manor, Wennington Hall, Moddershall Oaks, The Parr’s Bank, Swanley Meadows, The Fields, The Hayloft and more.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I have a wide range of influences but love great classic rock and pop (think The Beatles, Elton John, Flwetwood Mac etc), dance floor fillers (anything with a funky bassline gets me going), and am a firm believer that if a song is a banger, we should probably play it even if it is a little cheesy…

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Glastonferry Music Festival (1000+ people)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No trouble - I'll always work with you to make sure your event runs as smoothly as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, this can be provided at no extra cost upon request.

How much time do you need to set up?

I can be set up in an hour with the Grand Piano shell, or 10-15 minutes without, depending on the distance to the car park. As soon as the PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes! It's your day and the music should tell your story. Feel free to request as many songs as you like. If you are booking my ‘Challenge The Pianist’ set through the wedding breakfast, I have an interactive app where guests can send requests straight to me.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, if the venue doesn't have a piano, I bring my own professional digital Piano and PA system. I also have the option of bringing a Grand Piano shell which houses the digital piano, but gives the appearance of a real Baby Grand to add a touch of class to your event.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. I am happy to learn requests, and will endeavor to learn your favourite song(s) in advance of the performance.
