Hi, I'm Chris, an Award-winning Pianist from the North West of England. I provide music tailored to every event, from chilled out background music to party anthems! I'm a winner of the Hitched Wedding Awards for the past two years running, and have also been featured in the National Press and on BBC2's 'Ultimate Wedding Planner'. I aim to make every one of my performances personal to you, so will consult with you on your favourite music and learn any special requests in advance. With my 22 years as a professional pianist and a brilliant (if I do say so myself!) natural ear, I can also play most requests asked for on the day. I can provide music for ceremonies, drinks receptions, or wedding breakfasts. I am self contained with my own Grand Piano shell (housing a digital piano) and PA equipment, or happy to play an acoustic piano that is already at the venue. I play music from all genres and am always willing to take requests! I will always take the time to learn a couple’s favourite songs and ask for the music you like to hear so I can best cater for your specific needs. I have a vast repertoire of songs ranging from jazz classics, pop, rock, soul, R&B and more from 50’s to the present day, so whatever you're into, I've got you covered :) I have played hundreds of weddings and other celebrations, both solo, and duetting with a female singer, and can play as long as you need me. I can even set up in multiple areas throughout the day, providing a convenient solution if you need music in the ceremony and then music for the wedding breakfast/drinks reception afterwards. What do your clients love most about your performances?

The fact that as well as setting a great mood whatever the occasion, I am happy to take requests both in advance and on the day and tailor every event to make it personal to the client and their guests

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

As well as hundreds of weddings and private performances, I have performed for lots of corporate clients including: 30 James Street Liverpool Glastonferry Music Festival Priory Inns Group

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am a Blues and Jazz player at heart, and often incorporate this style into my performance of pop songs too. Initially inspired by Jools Holland, I also love the work of Michel Camilo, Oscar Peterson and Herbie Hancock.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Glastonferry Music Festival (1000+ people)

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No trouble! I'll always work with you to make sure your event runs as smoothly as possible :)

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, this can be provided at no extra cost upon request.

How much time do you need to set up?

I can be set up in 10-15 minutes, depending on the distance to the car park! As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event :)

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes, if the venue doesn't have a piano, I bring my own professional digital Piano and PA system. I also have the option of bringing a Grand Piano shell which houses the digital piano, but gives the appearance of a real Baby Grand to add a touch of class to your event!

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. I am happy to learn requests, and will endeavor to learn your favourite song(s) in advance of the performance.

Music for the duration of your wedding ceremony, including background music as guests arrive, entrance and exit music, and any hymns/special songs you would love in between.

Our most popular package! This covers all the music you will need up to the evening party, including music for the duration of the wedding ceremony, drinks reception, and wedding breakfast.

Outstanding To have Chris play at our wedding on Saturday in the Lake District was an absolute fabulous experience and truly added to the atmosphere. He played beautifully keeping all our guests entertained throughout the wedding reception and into the evening. Taking requests, whilst guests were having a sing along too. Everyone commented on how talented Chris was playing the piano. Highly recommended to anyone planning an event or wedding.
