About Chloë

Chloe is a versatile and talented violinist based in the UK South West and New York. A strong performance background, she always entertains.
Violinist
Cardiff

I am an open minded and versatile violinist studying with world-renowned violinist, Daniel Phillips, whose collaborators include Yo-Yo Ma, Gidon Kremer and Kim Kashkashian, at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, New York. Based in the US and UK, I am happy to travel. I have performed in Ireland, Italy, Africa, USA and Oslo. I love performing in all its forms and I have performed at a wide range of events from weddings to opera and festivals - including the Glastonbury and Two Moors Festival. I have a wide repertoire and I am equally comfortable playing Mozart as I am Miles Davis. I have performed at Ronnie Scotts in Soho, Southbank Centre, recorded for radio and had my compositions featured on BBC television. I relish the chance to perform and spread joy through music.

Chloë was extremely easy to work with on my Lauri Anderson performance. The performance required Chloë to improvise through music in response to the drama. She consistently brought interesting ideas during the work-shopping phases. I was delighted with the final piece, which was ultimately enhanced by the music she provided.

Chloe performed a beautiful and moving rendition of the Theme from Ladies in Lavender at a memorial service. She was very organised and arrived early to rehearse with the organisers. Many guests complimented us on the choice of music and sensitivity of her performance.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

I can perform solo or with harp, a string trio/quartet. I can also play the ukulele, saxophone, piano and sing.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time. If I am accompanying someone I haven't played with before (i.e church organist) a short rehearsal beforehand is always preferable.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set list is open to requests and I am happy to provide advice about what works best on a solo violin to ensure guests have an amazing time.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am more than happy to do this for you.
