ChiJazz Band are the chosen providers of jazz for clients such as RHS Wisley’s Jazz on the Lawn afternoons, City Cruises’ London jazz cruises, and Chichester Festival Theatre’s press night events. They have also appeared regularly across many popular featured jazz events including those hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club and Brasserie Blanc restaurants in Chichester, Reigate, and Horsham. ChiJazz play a wide range of classic jazz standards and arrangements of popular music to suit all tastes. Comprising professional musicians on piano, bass, drums, saxophone, and vocals, they are equally at home in intimate wine bar and restaurant settings, or larger wedding and corporate events. Formed during studies on the Chichester Jazz courses, ChiJazz members also have years professional experience with artists such as Van Morrison, Jimmy Witherspoon, Deniece Williams, the Beach Boys, Van Der Graft Generator and Culture Club. Whether appearing as a trio, quartet, or quintet, ChiJazz draw on this experience to ensure each event is tailored to the needs of the client

Chijazz were the perfect band for our occasion, their sets included something for everybody. They started off the event with smooth ambient sounds and then get everyone dancing with their fabulous mixture of jazz and pop classics. Their sound was perfectly adapted for the venue and nothing was too much trouble.

Yes, unless availability varies, in which case a high quality depends will be included.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, we offer a trio, quartet, quintet or sextet line-up, including trumpet and/or trombone.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Timings can be flexible as long as we are given sufficient notice.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, music during intervals or a post-set DJ service are available.

How much time do you need to set up?

Half an hour is the usual set-up time for us.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We encourage clients to indicate their song preferences and will add new titles if we are given prior notice.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

All PA and lighting is included.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We will add new titles to our setlist if we are given prior notice.
