About Cheesecake

Irish jigs meet country and rock swagger—fiddle blazing, feet flying, and the kind of musical mischief that makes aunties stage-dive.

We’re Cheesecake: a high-energy band with tight harmonies, a blazing Country/Irish-rock violin, and a knack for getting any crowd on their feet. Whether it’s a bouncing pub, a packed festival, or an all-out wedding celebration, we bring big tunes, big energy, and just the right amount of musical mischief. Each of us brings years of experience and a shared obsession with great music. Between classical training and countless late-night gigs, we’ve honed a sound that blends rock, country, folk, Celtic, and contemporary styles with real flair. Our violinist’s fiery solos add that extra bite, and our harmonies are built to raise hairs and turn heads. But more than anything, we know how to read a room and turn a good night into something unforgettable.

What an absolutely fantastic night. I knew you would be a good band from your video, but you were even better than that! Brilliant music with lots of energy. Thank you so much for making Jessica and Andrew’s wedding one of the best days of their lives. Jessica said to me half way through that the dancing was exactly what she had wanted. She was very happy.

Your improvisation and patience as you were man handled around the garden to accompany some marine charades was much appreciated. Your two sets were fantastic and I am still laughing and proud of stomping through the Proclaimers on the stage with two of my daughters either side of me. The range of music was fantastic. Your band was everything I had hoped it would be.

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Our main singer Alexis, will always be there. Occasionally some of the other musicians may be unavailable, in which case we use "dep" musicians, who know our song list and have performed with us in the past.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our main 4 piece line up is: Guitar/vocals, bass/vocals, drums and violin. For smaller events, we regularly perform as a 3 piece: 2 guitar/vocals and violin. We can also add a female singer to go out as a 5 piece.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

All of our prices assume arrival no earlier than 6pm and all music stops at midnight. Within that, our timings are flexible to ensure you get our full playing time and that your guests have a great night.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we provide this for every event. Should you require us to go beyond midnight, with can do this for £75 per hour or part thereof.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually arrive 2 hours before performance time, but we can have background music up and running in 30 minutes, and the band ready to play in an hour.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Let us know a few or your favourites from our list, and we’ll build our set around them. We’ll still take requests and go with the vibe on the night. For the DJ, you can send a song list or Spotify link in advance. Just make sure to get it to us at least a week before the event!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require around 5m x 4m space to perform, but we can squeeze it tighter if needed.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We offer to learn a special song for you, as long as it's appropriate for our line-up. As for others, there's a good chance we know it anyway, so do send requests and we'll try to include them.
