Hello I've been playing bass since my late teens and I'm now 51. Where does the time go?!? For the last 30 years I've mainly been playing original and covers in the Rock, Pop and Indie genres. In 2016 i started playing Jazz and Funk and haven't looked back. My main 2 bands at the moment (both listed here on Encore) are AM Jazz, a duo, trio instrumental Jazz Band playing classic, authentic Jazz, My 2nd band is The Groove Surgeons playing authentic 70's Funk. Both bands are instrumental, with no singer. I'm in demand as a dep player for local bands playing all styles apart from slap, which I've never been attracted to. I have my own car and equipment as follows Basses: Rickenbacker 4001 Marcus Miller Sire Bass P7 5 string Ibanez BTB 5 string Amp MarkBass CMD 210 combo PA 2 x "Ohm" 300w speakers (8ohm) Peavey powered desk, 2 x 600w (4ohm) I have a sense of humour, a can do attitude, a good set of ears, and can busk in swiftly and confidently with most things. It was a pleasure to work with Chaz to say the least. Considering he had never played with us before and was filling in at our event without any rehearsals, his professionalism, competency and musicality was exceptional. More importantly for us, he is just a genuinely lovely guy, friendly and very helpful and we won't hesitate to book him again in the future!

Chaz has been a long time friend, I Have seen him dep for Many Bands, He was my first port of call when our Bassist had a spell away, We called him up and asked him to play 8 Gigs over a 4 week period, He arrived at the First gig Very well rehearsed and Played 28 rock/country/Blues & Classic pop Tunes. We were very impressed with his Professionalism, Punctuality and most of all his Friendly attitude, After the first weekend we loaded another 8 tunes onto the set list, He took them all in his stride, After the 8 gig we were very sorry to see him leave, he not only Was a Big asset to the Band but also made a Lot of Friends. He Comes Highly Recommended,
