I got in touch with StraightFIRE after a recommendation from a long-standing friend but didn't really know what we wanted to do in terms of entertainment for a large family gathering. Sam was so helpful on the phone, listened to all of my thoughts and put together the most perfect performance. They played all of my favorite Motown songs and also some new music that the children enjoyed - everyone thought they were amazing and danced the night away. What do your clients love most about your performances?

The music always fits the atmosphere and adds the perfect touch of class to the event. I am friendly and easy to work with :)

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Too many to list! Highlights include the O2 Arena and the Royal Albert Hall

Jazz pianists such as Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett and Bill Evans.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Live on BBC2, Live on BBC Radio.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know and I will see what I can do.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I can often actually offer this service for free - if I am using a keyboard and PA for your event. If you would like an additional DJ service once I have finished, this can be arranged but at an extra cost.

How much time do you need to set up?

If I am playing on a piano at the venue - 10 minutes. If I am playing on my electric piano - 30 minutes.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Absolutely! As long as the piano is in working order and in tune, then I'm happy to play on it!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests have an amazing time. However, I am definitely happy to chat through and I will do my best to accommodate your requests.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Absolutely. I do this very regularly. I will require parking within reasonable proximity to the venue. It will also need to be sheltered, flat and dry.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

The best thing to do is to ask me before the event, as I may already know it. If I don't know it, there may be an additional fee depending on how long it will take to learn.
