We booked Charlie for a milestone birthday party with around 80 guests. From the moment we first made contact up until the day of the party Charlie was a pleasure to deal with, really accommodating and really polite! He has an eclectic repertoire of wonderful feel good songs which really got our party going! Everyone who witnessed his performance gave really good feedback and absolutely loved his performance! His own unique interpretation of some classic songs really provided a soulful ambience which i imagine is unique to Charlie! I would 100% recommend Charlie if you’re looking to book a quality, unique, soul artist!

Charlie played two sets of excellent music at our wedding in Royston. He was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and his song choices, guitar playing and singing were superb. Highly recommended!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Clients have commented on my soulful vocals, my tight rhythmic guitar playing, my choice of repertoire, and how much they love the fact that I put my own spin on certain tunes whilst still keeping them recognisable. I can adapt my set: either gentle background music or a showstopping performance that rivals the sound of an entire band.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Glastonbury festival, Vortex Jazz club, London Jazz festival, Chichester Film festival, Hootenanny Brixton, Peckham Audio and numerous weddings, parties and events UK wide and internationally.

I take influence from all styles of music, but for my solo sets I am inspired by Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Tom Misch, FKJ, D'angelo, Erykah Badu, David Bowie,

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Glastonbury festival 2022 or for over 1000 people at a private event at MK Arena Milton Keynes.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No worries at all - I understand things can change! Very happy to adapt to any changes on the day, just keep me posted if possible :)

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, I can absolutely provide background music in between sets. Happy to choose the music myself but of course do let me know if you have particular vibe in mind and I can cater towards that.

How much time do you need to set up?

I can be gig ready from 20 minutes after my arrival time provided I have a power source.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

You can absolutely pick any tunes you like from my repertoire but I'm always more than happy to take a few requests free of charge :)

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I will bring all of my own gear. For events with over 100 guests I would recommend running my amp through a PA to ensure the music can be heard by all guests.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Of course, happy to learn anything you like as long as it works with my setup (Vocals + guitar + looping) Happy to learn up to 3 songs free of charge, then any additional songs will incur a £10 charge per song.
